Yesterday evening, Timisoara Startup Hub hosted the Central European Startup Awards Romanian Winners Announcement event.
A national jury, including highly active and relevant individuals from our national startup ecosystem: Anca Albu (CEE Changers), Irina Albu (TechAngels Romania), Bogdan Iordache (How To Web, Bucharest Tech Hub), Catalin Scripcariu (Startup Weekend Iasi), Adrian Pica (CESA Communication Manager), plus several hundreds of Romanian individual voters have decided which are the most representative individuals and startups to represent Romania in the last Saturday of May to the CESA finals in Budapest.
3 out of the 5 categories have been won by Timisoara nominees: 7Out, an e-spres-oh quasi-spin-off was declared as the The Best Designer Startup, Florin Cornianu, CEO of 123ContactForm, received the honours as the Founder of the Year, while his company was proclaimed as the Best Startup of the Year.
The list of winners was completed with the well known serial entrepreneur and co-founder of TechAngels Romania Radu Georgescu as the Investor of the Year, while the US-based but so nationally relevant Romanian Startups, relentlessly developed and run by Mircea Goia, was recognized as the Best Service Provider of the Year
Congrats to the winners, thanks to all those that contributed to the popular vote, to the jury, and to the participants to the Romanian CESA event.
Good luck all!
