Being immersed in daily activities, searching for a balance between job and family life, running between delivering tasks and finding some spare time to relax may seem like an everyday burden for most of us. For others, it’s just a lifestyle that you can align to. Actually, beyond any perspective upon how life should be lived, we always have a need to do something beyond the ordinary; no matter if it is a cause, an ambition, a passion or a purpose, we feel the urge of doing something relaxing for ourselves voluntarily, willingly, happily.
This is the reason why a few open-minded people came with the idea of building a community around a simple idea: running for health in a friendly manner. They have named themselves Alergotura and they haven’t stopped for three years now.
Alergotura is the place where everybody runs on their own feet, but nobody runs alone. Whether you can run for 15 minutes or for an entire hour, there will always be someone to run at your pace, have a small talk with you, give you necessary motivation to push your limits and mostly, the feeling that you are a part of something extraordinary.
The age limit confirms the idea of unity beyond the dissimilarities: there is no age limit. Being 18 or having already witnessed 50 springs you can go jogging, either ways. It just takes the will to do something good for your health and the openness to share the experience with others.
Some of them have pushed their limits beyond their own expectations. A few have joined marathons, national and international competitions, while others have run for a good cause. They are living examples of ambition, strength and humanness.
They have varied daily jobs. They are programmers, dentists, poets, geeks, that kind of people when asked “what are you?”, they will not say “an engineer”, but “a human being” or just a “random guy having fun”. They have nurtured friendships, connections, beer partnerships, and unexpectedly, relationships. They are over 40 passionate active runners at the moment, but the door is still open for anyone with similar beliefs. They also have over 2500 friends on their web page, that cheer them every day, admire them and promise to join one day for good.
If you see yellow-dressed runners in the city, you know it’s them.
