DESCRIPTION:\nBrace yourselves for our 4th meetup\, cause this one will be different & it will be addressing a deeper problem that resides in us\, regardless of our profession! \nCiprian Irimies — UX/UI Designer • Coach • Positive Thinker & Social Creature • Dedicated Father & Loving Husband • Guarded by a Dachshund — will help us dive into the following subjects:– the roots of failure and our perception about failure (psychological anatomy)– sharing burdens in organizations & working together (applied learning)– how to use failure as a tool for success in life (personal development) \nHere’s a taste of what you can look forward to \nBefore success comes failure\, in everything we do… with no exceptions. Sometimes it’s tiny – escaping our sight\, other times it’s enormous – blocking all the sunlight from our lives. \nIn the longest study ever performed\, the light was shed on failure and success. We\, the people\, have difficulties when it comes to avoiding (obvious and not-so-obvious) mistakes\, we encounter inner-resistance when we (try to) recover from failures and we hardly learn anything from our missteps (in order to adjust our path towards success). This study is called The History Of Humankind – here are the conclusions about people:– 1% pick up new skills generated by their mistakes– 7% possess the desire to change but lack the knowledge to do so– 26% believe they’re helpless in face of failure– 43% neglect the source of their mistakes– 28% sabotage themselves– 17% transmit their fears to their children– 9% are very gullible and base their actions on false premises– 10% aren’t noticing the problem with the exposed percentages. \nFailure is generated (mainly) by lack of attention\, limitations of our knowledge & memory and resistance to adjustment. The good news is we can turn things around\, by putting failure to good use and making it work for our benefits!
