DESCRIPTION:\nLet’s give data science its proper place in Timisoara by what will be a series of meetups and some late night beers to dilute the intricate discussions that will surely follow. \nThe focus will be on running through actual case studies\, in detail and comprehensively\, thus providing useful information to all participants no matter their experience in the field. We tailored it “one size” as it doesn’t matter whether you are a ML engineer\, a software developer\, a student\, a marketing professional\, the talks will be right up your alley. \nOur goal is to mushroom data science across its usual borders because we know that amazing things come from the most unexpected synergies among people and domains.We’ll deep-dive into hard-core machine learning algorithms to solve serious business and marketing problems\, but also whimsical applications on music\, sports and such. So stay tuned! \nAnd now\, without further ado\, we introduce our speakers of the first meetup: \n• Catalin Vasii\, Co-founder & AI Picasso @ Ars AnaliticaWhat my computer knows about roles in the game of football or How can I introduce clustering in my daily routine. \nCatalin is brewed in a math Ph.D. and in the last years matured in the industry by leveraging all his know-how into solving complex business and industry problems. Most recently he co-founded Ars Analitica\, a data science consulting venture\, together with Wanda Fiat\, and co-organizes this amazing meetup. \n• Alex Sisu\, Senior Data Science Consultant @ UbixDecision Trees Tricks and Variations – understanding parameters\, and how to adapt the training data.Alex is no stranger to our eyes and ears as we have seen him present in many data related events. He describes himself as a pragmatic engineer specialised in analysing big amounts of data and scaling things. We say he’s a cool dude that knows a lot of data science that we can constructively leech from him. \nDon’t forget to RSVP. \n
