The local IT community can boast with hosting startups which have nicely grown in the past few years. Yet, for those who need some stimulation to get things started, there have been organized some tech-startup oriented events to get them through. An example of such an event is Startup Weekend Timisoara which has managed to bring together in two editions entrepreneurs with vision, promising ideas and energy for a fresh new start.

Startup Weekend is an event dedicated to programmers, designers, marketers and business people that want to experience the startup environment, either by pitching their own idea or by joining others to get from idea to product in only 54 hours.

On the 14-16th of November will take place the 3rd edition of #SWTimisoara, except the fact that the competition is now at a whole another level. Startup Weekend Timisoara will enroll in the Global Startup Battle,  the biggest startup competition in the universe which is made of more than 200 simultaneous events and programs over 10 days & over 30,000 entrepreneurs in over 100 countries rally together in the name of innovation and community each year.

Whether you’re wondering about where do the skilled mentors come from, there are quite some names such as Reddit, Ascent Group, Babelverse, Lean Startup London and more. Successful entrepreneurs from Great Britain, Greece, Italy and Romania will be there to share their know-how and guide the participants on the way to the startup of their dreams. This edition’s facilitator will be Andrew Hyde, the inventor of the Startup Weekend concept.
