Timisoara Agile Software Meetup Group, Syneto and Timisoara Startup Hub are organizing again this Saturday, November 15th, the Timisoara implementation of the biggest collaborative software development event in the World. At its fourth edition,  aims to unite more than 5000 programmers all over the World. Each city and local community collaborates with a small group totaling more than 200 individual events developing into a worldwide code retreat network.

For those that missed the previous Timisoara editions, a code retreat is a full day event that aims to offer a safe haven for programming experiments. For a whole day, programmers gather to program, experiment, learn, and have fun. It is the ideal place for programmers to do the things they can not do at work. To try out crazy ideas, to improve themselves by interacting with others, to write code using test driven development, pair programming, and other agile practices.

Global Day of Code Retreat represents a network of such events held in the same day all over the world. Not only programmers can interact with others from the same group, but they can have online chats and live video streams with others from different parts of the world.

By attending the Global Day of Code Retreat, programmers will gain clear benefits as learning new programming techniques by interacting with their more expert peers and they’ll train their coaching abilities while explaining great approaches to total stranger programmers.

Test driven development, pair programming, brainstorming, retrospectives, and other practices will be experienced.

This event is for any programmer, regardless of his/her programming seniority. The only requirement to participants is to know basic object oriented programming. The rest will stay in organizers’ responsibility.
