Improvement… this is a quest most of us try to invest time and energy in on a continuous base. We are doing it as organizations, under the pressure set (openly or in a tacit way) by clients, competition, boards of directors and (sometimes) by colleagues and employees. We are also doing it in personal and family settings, aiming to become more performant in generating and smartly using resources and relationships.
There is a constellation of tools and methodologies involved in the organizational improvement contexts (some of them with funny or solemn names 🙂 ) like 5S, Kaizen, 6Sigma, Kanban, Poka Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, Lean, Agile. At least apparently, the manufacturing industry performed best in adopting and structuring those tools and methodologies, evolving towards the overarching concept of Process Excellence. Our IT&C industry follows closely, involving in a continuously enlarging set of companies, at least the Agile and Lean approaches.
For interested professionals in various fields, including operational excellence directors, lean managers, service and solution providers, process improvement specialists, consultants, local and international speakers, our friends from Timisoara-based Lean Quality Academy and Proactive Training are organizing a full week of events in the field:
June 9-10: Process Excellence Summit – a two-days regional conference with international participation, discussing trends, leadership, case studies in the pursuit of operational excellence
June 11: LEARN FROM TOYOTA – How to implement the most efficient optimizing methods in our business – an one-day open training with Luke Nickola. Luke is a highly experienced professional with a huge background of consulting for operational excellence in various industries worldwide.
June 12-13: Global Leadership – a two-days open training with Adrienne Rubatos, approaching areas and skills beside the traditional local leadership which contribute to the excellence of a Global Leader in his/her complex, volatile, international environment, relying mostly on usage of virtual platforms for reaching real success.
Have your share of improvement towards excellence knowledge!
