Social-Media-Assistant (1)

Responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for articles, advertisements, publications, and pamphlets. Monitoring and managing social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and to regularly update BanatIT’s blog and website.

Experience:

  • Blogging
  • Online and offline marketing
  • Social networking

Typical work activities and responsibilities:

  • setting up and monitoring pages within each platform to increase the visibility of Banat IT’s social content;
  • monitoring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
  • establishing presence and building lists on the social networks relevant to your strategic objectives;
  • developing creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the designer;
  • working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines;
  • amending, revising or redeveloping adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the designer, event manager.

Skills:

  • must be a proficient writer in English and Romanian;
  • understand the different language styles that appeal to BanatIT’s;
  • be skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy;
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • work well in a team and with a range of creative people.

Event-Manager

The role of event manager is  hands-on and often involves working as part of a team. Event organizers must be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication with different stakeholders , excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

As an Event Manager you are responsible for the production of events from conception through to completion. Event types can include: meetups, hackathons, conferences, social events, workshops and training sessions.

Experience:

  • Organizing or being part of an event’s organizing team.

Typical work activities and responsibilities:

  • researching markets to identify opportunities for events;
  • producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing);
  • identifying and confirming speakers or special guests;
  • liaising with marketing and PR colleagues to promote the event;
  • liaising with fundraiser and treasurer to plan and execute budget;
  • liaising with the project team and designers to create a brand for the event and organising the production of tickets, posters, booklets and sales brochures, plus social media coverage;
  • coordinating suppliers, handling supervisor’s queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly;
  • post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).

Skills:

  • ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers;
  • ability to accomplish projects with little supervision;
  • fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality;
  • proficient using of Google Drive and email and web searches.

Designer

A designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to the people involved in the project and understanding their needs before making design decision. You will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the project’s objectives.

Experience:

  • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Typical work activities and responsibilities:

  • developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
  • estimating the time required to complete the work;
  • thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
  • presenting finalised ideas and concepts to the project team;
  • demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
  • keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs;
  • working as part of a team with printers, photographers, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists.

Web-Developer

A web developer plans, creates and codes web pages, using both non-technical and technical skills to produce websites that fit the project’s requirements. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of an existing site. An important aspect of the position is  the need to test websites at different stages of design on a variety of different devices.

Experience:

Typical work activities and responsibilities:

  • drawing up detailed website specifications;
  • registering web domain names and organising the hosting of the website;
  • presenting initial concept ideas to the project team;

  • working with other web specialists including web developers and graphic designers;
  • testing the website to ensure it is working;
  • continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments.

Photographer-Videographer

As a photographer you will create permanent visual images for an exceptionally wide range of creative, technical and documentary purposes. A videographer is part director, part sound man and part editor. You’ll be in charge of the images the public sees on television and on movie screens. You’ll work in the studio, in remote locations, and as a part of the post-production team that edits, prepares movies and finally uploads to youtube channels.

Experience:

  • Basic usage of cameras and other photographic/videographic equipment.

Typical work activities and responsibilities:

  • sets up, and operates various production equipment;
  • working with the project team to discuss the images they require and how they want to use them;
  • liaising with other professionals, including graphic designer and  copywriters;
  • managing the processing and use of images;
  • record, shoot and edit video at all events, meetups, interviews;
  • publish videos on youtube channels;
  • sets up and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones at the venue.

Skills:

  • using an extensive range of technical equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting and specialist software;
  • communicating with photographic subjects, putting them at ease, encouraging them and directing them;
  • understanding traditional film and digital photography and keeping up to date with industry trends, developments and new techniques;
  • developing expertise with software to digitally enhance images by changing emphasis, cropping pictures, correcting minor faults, etc.
