Central European Startup Awards is an initiative launched early this year by an international group of reputed startup expert organizations led by the Budapest-based IseeQ, aiming to bring in the spotlight and to raise the visibility of the best startups from the ecosystems in a region including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria.
CESA initiative replicates the Northern Startup Awards, that is run for several years already and generated a fantastic wave of positive effects, but mostly significant collaborations between the smaller tech entrepreneurship ecosystems in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Island.The CESA competition is designed to evaluate the entries suggested in five categories: startup, entrepreneur, investor, service provider and design startup of the year.
Out of the dozens of Romanian candidates, individuals or organizations, self-nominated or nominated by third parties, a CESA pre-selection committee selected a set of nominations that will be judged by a national jury and, through Facebook, by the wider public.

The voting for the public contribution to the selection process is opened here, until May 21st, 2.00 PM.
The public announcement of the Romanian winners of the 2014 edition of CESA, will also take place in Timisoara, defining the list of individuals and organizations that will represent the Romanian national tech entrepreneurship ecosystem to the CESA Finals, scheduled for the end of this month in Budapest.
